Project Twelve designs a set of red packets according to the zodiac of the year, merging modern creativity with traditions. The red packets are not mere containers of a customary practice but are in themselves an important element in Chinese culture and festive traditions. Cheung Yee uses paper folding to document his creative conceptualisation and ‘yeeox Red Packets’ adopts the craft of paper-folding in the design of the packets. Flipping over the 2 triangular-shaped flaps from the back, the huge horns will emerge from the head of yeeox.
